Guess I've missed it somehwere... but how can I do a line break inside a textstring?" Things like \n do not work....

Are you trying to display that on screen?
a$ = "this is a test" print a$ or:
a$ = "this is"+chr$(13)+"a test" print a$ -Carl

Yes, always did it like this: a$ = "this is a test" print a$ Just looks a bit unelegant.... was hoping there is like a special character combination like for example "\n" or so, that would also directly work inside text strings. Anyway, the +chr$(13) thing i fine, too.... Thanx!
