I'm hoping this is a simple question for those more familiar with html. As a beginner with RB, I've basically completed my first program to be used in a manufacturing facility. All that's left is some polishing up and some small tweaks. What I'd like to know how to do (if possible) is create a link within my RB program that will lead to a place outside of the program, like an external web page. Now I don't currently know how to do this even while the program is active, but my primary reason for asking about this is to see if a user can resurrect an RB program that has terminated.
To clarify, I have posted a web page on our intra-net that includes a link to the Run Basic program I created. When a user is done entering or viewing what they need to, I have a quit button in the program that gives them a notice that the program is now complete and that they should close their web browser window. (The code prints the note then has an 'End' command)
What I'm wondering is if I can include a link that will print before my 'End' command and take them right back to the beginning of a new session if they click on it even after the program has technically ended. In other words a link to "http://localhost:8008/seaside/go/runbasicpersonal?app=MyProgramName" that prints on screen, before my 'end' statement and leads them right back to the beginning of the program.
I ask about this as a convenience rather than having to navigate back to the web page with the original link on it, they can let the closed program sit there in their web browser until they need to run it again.
Can this be done?
John
