Okay, this is not a REAL associative array. But it works just like one.... hashDemo shows how to build and use a... er... hash. Download it from hytext.com/rb/hashdemo.bas and run it in RB Personal. The menu is brutally simple -- enter your choice as a letter, press ENTER. To quit from an option, press ENTER on a blank (empty) textbox entry field. The demo includes some very useful string manipulation routines, including substring extraction (by delimiters), replacement, and insertion. Just ask here if anything needs further explanation.

Cool. Now all we need is a version of this suitable for using as a component. -Carl

"Component"? Oh.... 'Scuse me, I gotta go and add a chapter to the Run BASIC Programming Guide called, "Creating and Using Components". Um.... Anyone have any examples handy?
