How do I add variable text in graphics mode?

New user.
How do I add variable text in graphics mode?
Example; draw an axis and add calculated numbers to it.
print #handle,"\text" adds fixed text.
print #handle,"\STR$(n)" does not work.

Variables must be placed outside of the quotes.

Below find the shortest form of the above line using the latest syntax.
