Hello all.
I was wondering weather any one would be interested in getting together for a basic bash?
One of the great things about liberty basic, just basic and run basic are there great friendly user community's.
Wouldn't it be great to get together in a room with a bunch of other programmers and talk programming. It would be great to network, fined people with similar internists and work on some projects.
People have different ways of programming and we can all learn a lot.
I spoke with Carl and got the go ahead to see if there was any interest in and event like this.
With an opportunity to talk and learn from the creator of the language we might gain new understanding and tips to simplify our lives.
As of now I am trying to get a feel and drum up interest in an event like this to go on some time in mid 2010.
As of now the event would probably best be done some where in Massachusetts near Framingham Massachusetts.
If you live in the north east I think that a thread can be created for people wishing to car pool if necessary.
I live in Connecticut and would defiantly not monde saving a bit on gas.
We will need to secure a place to have the event with parking and room to accommodate a certain number of people depending on the interest from replies here.
Any body local with connections to a school, large church, fire department, hotel or even the VFW, You can help.
Looking for a place that would be laptop friendly with wifi or internet that we can plug a rougher into and a place to plug in laptops for some juice.
This event will most likely be for people from the north east or those people who just like to stalk Carl (just kidding).
We would also like to get a list of conversation topics and discussion ideas to make the Basic Bash a success.
Maybe even some in person timed contests
Carl might even be able to make some special deals available on his software **wink wink**.
Obviously this event would have to be kid friendly for the students learning basic wile in middle school.
