Hi,
I'm thinking of buying Run Basic, but I'm wondering if it's possible to easily extract info from the web, processing it, and then printing it back on my website, automatically, once a day.
Thanks Bob H

httpget$ - runbasic.wikispaces.com/httpget...and... XmlParser - runbasic.wikispaces.com/XmlParser...make grabbing data and shuffling it around pretty easy. I'm not sure about "automatically, once a day," though, as RB doesn't have anything like a timer feature to start it up at certain times. That said, if you didn't mind writing a little batch file and a bit of JavaScript, I think it'd be possible to do what you ask.

Hello,
Thanks for the info. The second question I have is that the program I wrote to process the data is written in Liberty Basic, and would that run on my website - with the runtime files included? Or would I have to do that on my own computer. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. The second question I have is that the program I wrote to process the data is written in Liberty Basic, and would that run on my website - with the runtime files included? Or would I have to do that on my own computer. Thanks. Hmm. The Run BASIC syntax is similar to the Liberty BASIC syntax, but it's not 100% the same. Plus, there are some interface shifts you have to take into account. You might be able to port it over, but it might be just as easy to have Run BASIC download the files and put them where your desktop app can load them, as it would be to port it all to RB. I've only ever done the opposite of what you're trying to do. I had a Just BASIC program that would create text files that a Run BASIC page would read and display. If I may ask, what does your program do?
