Any info on when we can expect a new beta that will allow us to do image manipulations through external programs like GraphicsMagick (preferable) or ImageMagick?? I know asking this question sucks... but I'm just eager to see what I could do with RB then..

Yes. I want to use GraphicsMagick to generate thumbnails on the fly... and resize images that exceed a given size. So I need to call GM from within RB through a command like this gm convert -size 120x120 sourceimage.jpg -resize 120x120 +profile "*" thumbnail.jpg And besides of that, it would just be cool to know when we can expect new versions/features to become available for public testing...

Okay, I've added a shell$() function which will execute a string from the command line, for example: print shell$("ls -la *.jpg") or: print shell$("pwd") or even theoretically: print shell$("gm convert -size 640x480 xc:red canvas.tiff") I will try to have beta 3 out this weekend. -Carl
