I just installed GraphicsMagick (similar to ImageMagick)... but how can I actually launch GM from within RB to perform any graphics operations via the normal command line???

"Normal command line..."?
RB is a browser-based interface, once its server is up-and-running. You'd have to sue some abnormal command line action, like the SQLite server startup, built into RB, but not user-accessible, I think.

Yes, command line.... There is no connector for RB to GraphicsMagick, Image Magick or any other graphics package... so I need to access the graphics programm via command line... like sending a command like this "GM convert image1.bmp -type TrueColor image1.jpg" I need this for converting images and creating thumbnails... and as this is not build into RB, I have to use external aps for this.. and these work only through command line... So I need to find a way to "run" external aps on the server and send normal command line statements to the program.... I guess!?

As you've noticed, Run BASIC is really great but it is still also pretty young as a product and there are obviously a lot of things that will be added as new features as we go from release to release like the ability to call external programs for example. -Carl
