Using cssBlog after running it, I entered a blog entry and some text.
Don't know what if anything I'm doing wrong, issue.
Started new project cssBlog type
Why Noticed couldn't see text after clicking accept, unless I right clicked in text area and dragged the mouse all over?
Also is there anyway to erase previous entries if you want to start a brand new cssBlog?
Thanks
John

Ok didn't think about second part, got it, just add a new *.dat file in code for a new blog.
Still how about the invisible text after click accept when you use it?
Anyone?

Nuts forgot, what if you wanted to erase just a range of previous entries in a particular blog, instead of creating a new blog?
Am I missing something or were these just partially created app's to begin with?

Am I missing something or were these just partially created app's to begin with? The examples are not fully featured applications, they are just showing what can be done, if you miss a feature, you are welcome to add it by yourself.

Really how nice of you. I'll add your statement in my regular blog in terms of support given for the product.
As far as other a matter of records file commands your right I'll correct it myself, bad judgement on my part to assume any who may have already done would pass the info on.

John, most of RB's shipment apps have remained the same since RB was in beta; all our coding has either been posted on this board or on the wiki: runbasic.wikispaces.com/The wiki includes a "building blocks" section that outlines nearly all of the RB commands with examples on how to use them. There are also simple tutorials, snippets of code, and full-featured programs all on the wiki. The wiki, like all wikis, is a community work in progress. Feel free to use any code there or add any info you like!

Hmm, ok useing the shared code there freely sounds good, that's a plus step in the support direction, that'll suffice.
Thanks for info.

"Suffice"? Come on, John. You're being way too ascerbic, here. You missed out on a year's worth of beta testing and product enhancement and revisions showing developer response and support on a daily basis. You seem to have very lofty presumptions of "support" in mind. I'd like to know what products you are using that engendered that "standard", and how many of them are direct competitors to Run BASIC in their design and application.

Really how nice of you. I'll add your statement in my regular blog in terms of support given for the product. John Hello, John, and welcome to Run BASIC. When Stefan says, "The examples are not fully featured applications, they are just showing what can be done, if you miss a feature, you are welcome to add it by yourself" he is attempting to be helpful. He is not being sarcastic. He is not a native speaker of English, so perhaps you are reading sarcasm where none was intended. The samples that come with any of Carl's languages are meant to demonstrate some of the possibilities and get you started. None of them is meant to be a bug-free, finished application. Users can feel free to use them as starting places for their own projects. That is the message Stefan was conveying. As for support, the people who have been members of this forum for many months are just folks. We had the privilege of beta testing Run BASIC. In the process, we added what we'd learned to the wiki. We haven't done everything. We don't know everything. We pass along pretty much everything we know. We've spent a lot of time filling the community wiki with programs, large and small, explanations, demonstrations, and tutorials. The good thing is that the knowledge base is always growing. New members of this forum are encouraged to join the wiki, too, and add their own info.

Am I missing something or were these just partially created app's to begin with? John, As others have said, the examples are more to demonstrate techniques than anything. Please feel free to use any code from the examples in your own projects, and by all means if you want to add any features and feed them back into the community that would be most welcome. Well developed versions of the wiki and blog examples would be exciting to include in future releases of Run BASIC. The Liberty BASIC community has been very generously sharing code to benefit everyone, and I'm confident that tradition will continue here. -Carl
