Jerry, Could you reboot my server again It was working until I made index.htm the Home Page Project. Either making a *.htm the Home page project making a change in the prefs caused the problem, I think. I have a regular project as the Hoome page project now. Sorry to be a bother.

No problem, Dave. Sorry I was out all day. You know if you have an emergency, you can send a textmessage to my cell phone. I might be able to get to a computer somewhere and get connected.

Thanks again.
Now I need to do some more testing on my server at the shop. I am thinking that a non project (index.htm) as the Home page is the problem.
Currently I have a redirect page as the Home Page redirecting back to the index.htm when the session expires. This is working.

Your redirect page is an RB app, pointing to an HTML page for the redirect? Makes sense, since "session expired" means... er... "session expired". If you redirect to an RB homepage, you'd (eventually) hit another "session expired" bump. PHP monitors sessions, and I believe it relies on static HTML for unmonitored "parking" between sessions. I'm very interested in an optimal solution for session management. I'll give you a reboot any time you need it.

Yes. I have a project as the home page with one line of code: html "<meta http-equiv=""REFRESH"" content=""0;url=http://runbasicnet.com/mac/index.htm"">" This is working. When I tried having the htm page as the home page is when the session expired quit redirecting. I have a page counter made with RB in the index.htm page. This was not there the first time the problem happened. Thanks for the reboot!

Update. I have been playing with this on my home network and it acts a bit different. Using the beta version on a Linux box under wine. The same machine that is linked to in my signature. Preferences: Projects root: c:\rbp101b1 Resources root: c:\rbp101b1\public Home page project name: index.html This will look for "index.html" in the "public" directory. 192.168.2.96:8128When a session times out you are taken to the login page. I tried "index.html" in the root directory also. I can find no way to have RB take you to the "index.html" after a session time out with out using a redirect as mentioned before. I think I must have misunderstood this from Carl. I am going to quit messing with this and just use the redirect approach. Unless some one can give me an idea of something else to try.
