I don't see anything. You've posted this on the runbasicnet board, which is specifically for accounts on the runbasicnet.com server. You might get a more useful response if you post it on the board, "Hosting a site with runbasic" or "Personal Server." The first two URLs get a 404 error, but this one: jackswebb.no-ip.bizasks me to log in with a password.

I gues my next question is why? Will post on the appropriate board. Thanks Alyce!

Have you added port 80 to your port forwarding settings? -Carl

Have you added port 80 to your port forwarding settings? -Carl Hey Carl, thanks but that was not it. What was happening is that I had port 80 forwarded and mapped back to my router 192.168.1.1 for that model. Which is why it was showing my wireless router login page. So I remapped it to my laptops static IP address, and set the Preferred DNS server to my router and now everything seems to be working perfectly. I can even access my website from the same laptop that I'm serving from. There is only one little problem.. When I browse over to the calcCSS program, the nice little banner you made for that app is gone.. The calculator works fine but the banner that used to sit on top is missing.. It was displaying on port 8008 but not 80.. Every setting remains the same except for the port assignments.. I shoud also mention that I had someone from outside my network test it, same behavior.. Any ideas? J.W.

What path is the image HTML tag using, when you check the source code of the displayed page with the missing image You should use a relative path in the RB source code, only the file name will be working for images in the public folder.

I'm thread-jacking this conversation back to the original subject. ;D Regarding my page on the runbasicnet.com server: I've received a report that one of my programs isn't working properly. The Mad-Libs program is giving the default answers, rather than the answers input by the user. I'll have to check this out. Perhaps I need to change the code since the upgrade to RB1.01, or maybe there's another issue causing the problem. Alyce's Run BASIC GamesI'd like to invite Jack Webb to continue his conversation on the board dedicated to hosting RB on a server:
runbasic.proboards82.com/index.cgi?board=server
This "Runbasicnet Hosting" board is specific to accounts hosted on the runbasicnet.com server. That might cause some confusion. It will also help others in the future who might have problems hosting on their own server. They might not check the runbasicnet.com server board.

Alyce, does the MadLibs program store the user's answers in a text file? If so, the problem may be that the public folder isn't being found. I've just posted this query RB Upgrade and Relative PathsIf your program isn't writing a text file but just storing in memory, then

Janet, it's just storing it in memory. I'm stumped. When I log in to my runbasicnet.com account and run the program, it works fine. When I simply navigate to the site as a member of the public, it gives back the defaults.
The information is stored in an array, which is initialized with default variables, such as "checkers" and "red." That's what you get back, no matter what you type if you visit the site. If *I* log in and test the program in the IDE, it works as it should.
Jerry? Buehler? Anybody?
