Sorry about this. Although it seems to me that somebody here did manage to run Run BASIC on their Win 98 box, you are the second person to report this problem. I don't have a Win98 machine here for testing.
I'm seriously wondering if I should drop support for Win 95/98/Me from the list.

Hi Carl Thanks for such a swift reply and honest reply. Please, take your time to solve this problem if possible.
I think that Run Basic would be a great program to use.
Best regards from Hans Dahlin Sweden

I used to have a VM set up with Windows 98, but I deleted it to clear space on my HD. Wonder if I should set it back up...

I don't have a Win98 machine here for testing. Once v1.0.1 hits the streets, I'll be sure to try it out on Win98.

I have a virtual machine running WinME, which is Win98SE with some WinXP features. I have been running the last release candidate successfully, but the released version does not work.
The problem is already posted on the bugs board.

Are customers who want to run personal servers 24/7 likely to be looking for cheap minimally equipped PCs, with win98 versions? That's what I had in mind, already owning legal win98SE.
I'm running RB on winXP on a laptop for now.
Mike.

The problem is already posted on the bugs board. Perhaps the same bug that affects Win2000 also affects these other older Windows versions. We'll have to see if the fix I've put in makes it work on Win 98 too. -Carl
