I've been running Beta 4 for the last few hours on my lil' Windows 98 machine, and it runs great. No crashes, no problems. I just wanted to pass that on.

That's good to know, but I'm not sure I can afford to keep an old Win 98 box around for testing purposes. Perhaps I can run old versions of Windows on Virtual PC on my Mac. -Carl

Hi,
I tried to run RB on a windows 98 2nd edition and it installed fine, but when I asked it to open in browser the browser came up and said could not connect to server. Was there something changed that has stopped it from working on win98? or do I need to install an update in order to use it? I have downloaded all the updates out there for win98, but it still does not work. I'm using an old 400mhz pc for a web server and windows xp ran way to slow, so I'm trying win98

I think the earliest windows RB will work (reliably)on is 2000.
You may want to try one of the linux versions and go headless to pick up some speed on an old machine.

I don't think it is reasonable to spend energy supporting an 11 year old version of Windows. Even Windows 2000 is kind of a stretch.
