I have been trying to solve this problem for 4 months. starting my linux version of RB101 requires me to cd to the rb101 directory and enter ./rbp rb.im I then get an error Segmentation fault (core dumped) I have installed the 1386 architecture on each of the 64bit systems I have tried this on.
I have two options change to a 32bit system (they all work) but give up the benefit of have 8gb of ram. or run a 32bit system via Virtualbox, which I have done for the last 4 months. This has been a pain in the rear end.
Has anyone else had success getting the linux version of RB to work on a 64bit system?
thanks in advance

Yup. I hit this a while back on Gentoo after an upgrade to an x86 box, 32 bit. Even with Carls help I had to give up. I ended up getting permission to run an internal Debian box with 32 bit Jesse, So far no problems. But I dread the day that everyone moves to 64bit and all my runbasic code goes to hell!
Some of the more mission critical runbasic apps, I've moved to CGI scripts using freebasic. I dread the thought of moving all the runbasic codebase over...
