Hi,
I'm a long time LB user, but new to RB and this forum. Before I dive into RB, I'd like to make sure that what I want to do with it is feasible. I use LB as my favorite high-level tool for motion control -- customized CNC, often using stepper motors. LB handles both the UI and motion control (parsing path files, like G-code, and streaming resulting multi-axis move commands to motor driver boards). I'd like to be able to serve interactive web pages from the PC attached to the CNC device, that would appear similar to my LB-created UI on a desktop. This UI includes buttons for actions like "go", "pause", "increase speed", etc. I'd also like the remote user to be able to choose path files to "play" from a list of files on the server, and to be able to upload a path file to the server for playing.
Reading over the FAQ, some examples, and some posts on this forum, it sounds like this is doable. Am I glossing over anything?

I would be interested in seeing where you are going with this project and discussing it with you.
If you pm me on here I can give you my number or Google talk name and we could talk about what you are doing . I have had some success in making rb interact with a lb program running on the same machine. This might be able to take care of your interfacing.
I have also released some code for using an arduino in conjunction with rb so any discussion that can further the goal of hardware interfacing is welcome.
Hope to talk to you soon.
