I ran a RunBasic Personal Server before with my WinXP, but I'm having trouble getting it going on a new computer. The brower just times out when I go to the page to run a program.
I have Win7, Norton AntiVirus, and a new modem/router combo from Xfinity. I copied my rbp101 folder from my old computer to the new one ... also on the C drive. I set up my Port Forwarding like before. The RB Console and the router are both set to port 80. The preferences tab also shows port 80 and the correct root locations. I've double checked the local IP address.
I tried disabling Norton and the Windows Firewall. Wondered about permissions on the rbp101 folder and files. Also, the folders properties show it to be read-only (even though I tried to change it).
Wondering if there's something I'm missing ... something new with this operating system or this newer router. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How about if you re-install rb from scratch to your new computer, and if that works, just copy the basic script files over?

Did you copy your entire RB101 directory from the root of the c drive on your old machine to the root of the c drive on the new machine?
Have you attempted to get on to the server via http://localhost or http://localhost:8008 with a web browser on the machine you are hosting it on.
Have you set up the port forwarding on your new router modem combo.
Dose Comcast like many other isps block hosting on residential accounts.
