I'm currently writing a program fro tracking equipment (mostly IT stuff). It's based on a "chain-of-custody" concept. Transferring equipment it done with both parties acknowledging the transfer before it is deemed complete.
It will take care of inventories as well (i.e. primary owners can start an inventory request and watch the progress as the inventory gets completed.)
The concept and logic is all "fleshed out", and I am basing most of it on a program I had written for work a few years ago in PHP.
I have just started working on this this month when time allows and have all of the database tables done the initial setup, and a lot of the css formatting complete. I used a modified version of the runForum setup that comes with runBASIC. I liked that idea so when anyone starts the site for the first time they can be walked through the initial creation. Makes it easier for anyone to take the code and set up a site of their own.
Next I'll be working on the login and registration parts of the code. I don't have it posted anywhere yet, but once I get something remotely usable done I will get it online some where for you all to take a look at and provide feedback.
Wish me luck!

Login and registration has been completed. Took me two hours last night to find the right command for making a variable link. But that one command will be used a lot throughout the program since many screens will be search results on equipment, and being able to select the equipment after it has been found is a big deal. Still some work left to do on making the user area happy, such as user editing, but I anticipate this to be all complete by this weekend and I can hopefully move into the container and equipment coding. Slow going when I get a half-hour here, a half-there to code. And I start my Masters degree program on Monday. As if I don't have enough to do.

For question with my code can I dump the entire things here (since it's part of this project), or should I dump it in the Code forum?

Posting the whole code seems to be impractical, if you have the ability to upload the source as a file.
I think this forum supports attachments, but don't know if they are enabled.
The attachment is the preferred method, second preferred would be uploading the file to the Wiki and posting a link here.

When I get a chance I'll just upload the file to one of my domains and provide a link to the file. The problem I am having, and maybe this has been covered someplace and I have just not found it yet, I have purchased both the Linux and Windows versions of RunBASIC, but here's my symptoms... 1. My code works fine on my Mac. 2. When I run it on Linux or Windows using the purchased version my code will create the database and load the initial site information into it. 3. When I try to access the database again it seems to not be "seeing" that the database is even there, yet the same code is connecting to it that connected to it for the start of the program. 4. The initial data that it loaded in the database can still be seen though because the program shows the site information when it launches a second time, and I can login using the initial login data that was stored during the database creation. 5. So I'm guessing it just won't let me write anything else to the database after the first writing... Weird...

Can you duplicate this problem with a simple program, which just creates the DB, if it is missing and logs the date and time to a table for each run of the application?
