My backup laptop is Celeron 2.00GHz and it has 348 megs ram. DSL is 8/1 megs.
You guys think this combination could host few light sites with runbasic software? I would like to host some of my scripts with it, nothing heavier.

If you start the notebook and immediately open task manager, what is the maximum amount of virtual memory used? You will have to check the performance tab and the value is called Commit Charge/peak.
If this is more than your physical memory, then you will have to add some memory, to avoid too much swapping.

Thanks folks for replying. I think ill install some minimal linux server for that computer to save ram. Incase it still needs some ram, ill add 512megs to it. Should be enough to run RB + apache.
