I have written a program for the company i work for that is accessed by about 20 individuals constantly throughout the day. periodically this error message is generated, i am not sure why. the code is rather involved as its well over 1500 lines. it has some very basic css for formatting. is there any reason out of the blue one user out of 20 would get this message?
Error: "/seaside/go/%5Cdefault.css/runbasicpersonal" not found.

unfortunately, no. it has happened to myself and at least 3 others. i cannot replicate it because it happens on a whim. although it seems to happen when traffic is rather high. after the message is received, the users can simply click the back button and try whatever operation they were doing and it works fine the second time around.

Remove /\default.css from the address and you should be fine.
Don't know why this should be included in the address at all.

this happens randomly, when links are clicked in the program. its not any HTML or anything that i have added. when the buttons are clicked something weird happens, the code that is meant to run runs but the page is just not displayed. so for instance, if its a button that retrieves text from a textbox, and inserts that into an SQLite database, then when that error is displayed, the text will be inserted correctly but the "confirmation" page is not displayed. if you click the back button on the browser and click submit again, the textbox info will get submitted AGAIN and then that time the confirmation page will be displayed correctly.

That's why I said to remove the /\default.css and reload the page.
This way you should avoid reentering the information into the database.
It's worth a try.

For the record I see the same error in FF 'FireBug' console. There is no style sheet attached to the file.
Unlike your issues the error does not appear to affect anything I can see.
Respectfully,

is there an expected fix for this error?
EDIT: i can confirm that if you remove the /\default.css\ it will continue and work as expected.

I haven't seen this happen myself, and it looks like a bug in Seaside. I haven't seen any complaints like this over on the Seaside list but we are running on an older version. It may go away with the newer version I'm using but we'll see. -Carl

This error really is about to drive me bonkers.... the guys that use my program are not the smartest people in the world so when that error happens they panic and bad things happen. if you look in firebug at any page generated by RB there is a style-sheet called "%5Cdefault.css" and if you try and edit it, it complains that its not found.
also in the HTML for the page:
<link href="\default.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet">
if i edit the HTML in firebug to match:
<link href="default.css" type="text/css" rel="stylesheet">
then the default.css file is found! so somewhere there is an error that is adding a \ on to the default.css path.... i really need a fix for this even if its just some HTML i can put in my code to override that or something.
EDIT: also of note, if i run the program full screen from the editor, there is no reference to "default.css" there is only reference to "standard.css" which is found with no issue.

i implimented the "dynamically replace a css file" script, i will report the success or failure when i find out! thank you for your help.
for the record, when i "view page source" in firefox, it still shows the bugged \default.css file, but firebug shows the correct default.css after the replacement. so who knows! could go either way on this one.
