I was looking for some information that might be useful and came across www.fedorafaq.org which is all about the linux fedora system, of which my one server is based on. Looks fairly simple and straight forward to install stuff with. One item mentioned the possibility of running some windows software simply by installing "wine". I was wondering then if anyone knew if RB could be deployed on linux using wine?

Another option to consider for deploying on Linux would be the Linux version of Run BASIC - www.runbasic.com/

That's right. There are versions of Run BASIC for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The only reason you might want to use Run BASIC with Wine is if you don't want to pay for the Linux version.

It is always best to use the native application version for the O/S.
Adding any kind of execution layer between the application and the O/S can cause unexpected problems.
