Hello, ;D this is a simple question: how to check for 2 different data or processes at x milliseconds... history: this is about something that was easily done easily some decades ago (inkey$, wait, set timeout, etc) , and that now is the modern programming panacea and discovery using ajax,etc... mhm... The idea is to use RB to programming. THE problem is, using RB: to check every X milliseconds if the process A has any result, and if the process B has entered any information to modify process B. the result in A could be indepentently if it has been any new data in B. Example, a is a graphic of the current weather displayed in real time and B is new data. so, I need to calculate and refresh information A constantly (every x milliseconds), and if the user enters information in B (text),etc, then to update instantly A. 1)if I use the meta refresh. it is alot of resources , and keeps looping, 2)if I use the javascript examples about timing, those examples are to trigger something in a future time (wait 5 secs to do something, and then return), start something, but AFTER the user press enter. but this cases I need the opposite: I need to run the process A constantly AND WHEN the user B captures and enter any data in the box B. then pass that information to A to be processed and displayed in A. that it is when it gets more complied, because, how to set the javascript function to control those processes and pass the current parameters to RB from INSIDE THE javascript function or calling rb subroutines from inside the javascript ,that could manage that. Any help is appreciated. thanks a lot Alberto
