Okay guys, beta 3 is now available for the following platforms:
-Windows
-Mac Power PC (tested on 10.3.x and 10.4.x)
-Mac x86 (tested on 10.5)
-Linux (tested on Ubuntu 7.4)
If you are a paid Run BASIC customer and want to try these beta releases send me an email to carlg@libertybasic.com
Here are the changes:
-Extended the PASSWORDBOX statement so that width can be specified
by adding an optional size parameter, like so:
'create a password box 15 wide
passwordbox #pwb, "abc123", 15
-Fixed a bug in the UPLOAD statement which was throwing a
Message Not Understood error.
-Extended the RUN statement so that it can also be used to run
plain source files that end in .bas and not just project files.
-First version made available for Linux. Tested on Ubuntu.
-Fixed a bug where the httpget$(url$) function was only returning
the value of url$
-Made some adjustments to force coercion of floating point values
to double precision instead of single precision.
-Changed the default number of displayed precision for floating
point values to 9 digits instead of 6.
-Fixed a bug where the UPLOAD statement was throwing an exception
when inside of a DIV block.
-Added support for SQLite for Power PC Macs. Tested on 10.3.x and
10.4.x on G4 Macs. Not supported on 10.2.x.
-Added a shell$(expr$) function which sends expr$ to a command line
shell and returns the text output.
-Fixed a bug with the date$() and time$() methods on the file
accessor which would sometimes fail with Message Not Understood
error.
-Added a #nextrow() method to the SQLite database accessor. This
object can then be queried for individual column values like so:
#row = #dbAccessor #nextrow()
print #row name$()
print #row age()
-Extended the documentation (still more to come).
