MadMem is a classic memory game. I wrote an LB version a few years ago. This time I tried to make the code more efficient and it was fun to write it in RB with only a sprinkling of HTML and nothing else. This is still a very basic MadMem and I'd love to make it more presentable with CSS and add all sorts of fancy features to it. But before going ahead, something has to be done about the game's speed. It is still too slow and not good enough for any slightly impatient user (which is most users!). Allthough reducing the pictures to the bare minimum (no more than 3K) has helped, it is not enough. The game is still to slow. I think The problem lies in the fact that each time the user clicks in a cell, the whole html table is displayed again. Any help or suggestions would be greatly apreciated as I would love to carry on with the project. @+

Hi Alix,
Nice work, most of the time it fast enough here, every once and a while it will hang a bit. Just may be a problem with server side apps and internet connections.
I have an idea, I do not know at the moment how to do it and it would take a complete rewrite I think.
Some how load all of the images as a block of thumb nails. Cover the images with a graphics area. When the user clicks on a square the coordinates of the graphic box over an image becomes transparent.
Like I said, I do not have much of an idea on how to do it, just seems like it would be less data moved to cover or uncover an image than it is to transmit the image or reload the table.
If I have time I hope to try it myself.
