Carl, Is there any info relating to the RB server traffic records? I have traced the origin of some attempts to access, to China mainly and other parts of the world. I guess these are automated port probes looking to cause trouble, but would like to know what info the log contains.
Should we have any concerns about the server being open. I'm wondering whether to move RB to an old redundant PC.
Thanks, Mike.

Carl, Is there any info relating to the RB server traffic records? I have traced the origin of some attempts to access, to China mainly and other parts of the world. I guess these are automated port probes looking to cause trouble, but would like to know what info the log contains. Do you mean the web.log file? Each row seems to contain an IP address, the app name seaside or default, GET or POST, a path , a return code , a MIME type, and a date and time stamp. There's no harm in moving it if you're nervous. However, Run BASIC is relatively secure compared to a web server written in C/C++ because applications written managed execution languages like Smalltalk (similarly Java or C#) are less susceptible to buffer overruns and similar things. Also nobody's ever heard of Run BASIC which makes it somewhat secure by means of obscurity. I would guess that it's more important to make sure you don't set up your router in a way that it can be a security hole. Open only the specific ports that you need to open. Check to see if there is a firmware update you can apply to make it more secure. -Carl
