Hi David,
I've been sending you emails and they have been going unanswered. I am very much interested in subscribing to Run Basic Hosting, BUT, I have a few questions.
1 - If I subscribe to the base subscription, will I be assigned a port for my runbasic instance? Do I have any input into what port number is assigned? 2 - Is the IP address dynamic or fixed? 3 - Is the server Linux or Windows based? Yes, it really does matter to me. 4 - What impact will it have if I stream a lot of data? Are there caps? 5 - Is there a limit to how many users can access my runbasic projects? Are there any caps? 6 - You say there will be offsite backups of my data. What if I dont want that? My code and data is... my code and data. I can do my own backups, thank you. 7 - Is there a "try before you buy" option not advertised? 8 - What is the "control panel" and are there screen shots I can see?
Yes, questions... But I've been doing my research and I am a comparison buyer.
Feel free to email me: jmcbride@mail-on.us

Not David, but answering as one of his customers. 1) each site has its own port assigned and you receive the information in the confirmation e-mail of your order. 2) the IP is fixed 3) it is a Windows server 4) what is a lot of data for you? there are always bandwidth limits 5) concurrent connections are limited by your application, I think 6) I think that your site will be much faster online, if David is backing up the configuration of it. your data is still your data, privacy statement7) there is generally no difference to the way if you run on your local machine 8) see image

I know this is a pretty old thread, but is hosting still available? If not, has anyone gotten runbasic up and going on a VPS?

Thanks for the link to the run basic hosting site. I know I have seen that site before but couldn't find the link again. There's a link to hosting on the run basic site, but it's broken.

You can subscribe to one of the offers from the pricing page, if this fails e-mail David directly through the contact page.
