Is this thing on? Hello? Can anybody hear me? <echo, echo, echo> Where is everybody? What are you doing with RB? Me? Glad you asked. I'm learning how to use the SQL stuff. Neat. I almost posted two "bugs" in SQL methods, but discovered the bugs were mine.

I'm doing a lot of pre-programming thinking at the moment. Much of that involves investigating currently available solutions to (imagined) web-based living needs. Not too surprisingly, I keep running into wikis as solutions, which probably says a lot more about the kinds of problems I see than it does about the kinds of problems that really exist. The killer app for RB, in my mind, is going to be something of a blend of forum, wiki, blog, and learning system manager (like Moodle), something that: - You need to access via the web
- You can contribute via browser and/or email
- You can build contributions for, offline, to upload
- You can (must!) share with others
- You cannot get anywhere else
In other words, a collaborative, creative, intellectually and experientially enlarging web-based interaction tool. Now you see why I keep coming back to wikis as solutions.

I've been pretty busy, between my driver's ed final exam this week and moving next week. The programming I have been doing is mostly trying to finish RBTray (which would be so much easier if I just knew how to get the address to a callback function in AutoIt), and re-designing dbman. I'm also going to do a comparison between equivalent file storage scripts in Run BASIC and PHP. Look for that on Blogging about Run BASIC sometime soon.

Where is everybody? What are you doing with RB? I've had my head in Perl and PHP space this week for work, but I'm hopefully going to get back to RB this weekend -- in free times, I'm playing around with the new DATE$() features, but haven't reached a point where I can show anything off. Also, I've got to post those string functions on the wiki. So far behind...

Where is that mysterious ticking noise coming from? Not over here, not over there... kind of... catchy.
Snape, snape, severus snape.
Sorry about that, the tap-tap-tap reminded me of the video "Potter Puppet Pals in The Mysterious Ticking Noise".
I've been busy with school, mostly. Just starting panels, so gonna be busy for a while.

Its winter in the Northern hemisphere and the animals are hibernating .... soooh quiet here. <<<BANG>> did that wake anyone up? I wonder why the lull? I'm trying to make a reliable web mp3 player ( for the benefit of Gordon S. who also seems to have hibernated ) but the embedded player keeps disappearing. Mike.

I didn't think anyone would notice. After all, who needs associative arrays these days? That stuff is from way back in the '70's....
