Been testing interfacing to the world. I've tried the Arduino. It's impressive. I received my EzSBC1 board. It uses a BASIC type language with real time interfacing extensions. On feature I really like is the ability to run the basic code step by step for debugging. The price is fairly expensive ($40) compared to most boards. ezsbc1.weebly.com/www.ezsbc.com/index.php/featured-products-list-home-page/ezsbc1.html#.VgVdGMtVhBcSince I want to interface engines, I set up pots to simulate water and engine temperatures, oil pressure, level, direction, gas levels. I also set up switches to test for seat belts, and lights. So far everything looks good. Since the language is powerful and easy to use, I basically do all the processing on the board. I set up thresholds, and change amounts. Therefore all the processing is done on the board. It checks for when a threshold is exceeded and when things change by a certain amount it only reports that to your program. So for the most part your program does nothing and only waits for changes from the board. Since the control is in Run Basic, you can set it up as a server and watch the interface form anywhere in the world. This is great for things like watching your house. Since I'm writing a avionics system, people can watch you fly in real time form anywhere in the world. Having just toooo much fun! Dan
