Recently I mentioned that I want to create a subscription service for Liberty BASIC and Run BASIC software. To do this I would really like to have a web board to host this subscription service and I'd like it to be a community project written in Run BASIC.
I could build this myself, but that could take a while. Does anyone here have what could be the foundation for such a web site and that you would not mind making open source?
Thanks!
-Carl

Hi Carl,
More than a year ago I started a project called SapientBoard that is open source, available on my site. It contains incomplete implementations of a database schema, template engine, and language selectability.
Development is currently stalled, awaiting cookie-based session management. A board really needs to allow its users to copy a URL from the Address Bar and paste it somewhere else.

Hey Brent, Thanks. I'll take a look. Precisely how would you like cookies to be used for SapientBoard? -Carl Hi Carl, More than a year ago I started a project called SapientBoard that is open source, available on my site. Simply to allow the user to stay logged in.
I don't know how RB could make it easy. However, allowing access to HTTP headers would at least be a start.

What kind of access would you like, Brent?
There is already the HEAD command, which allows writing to the header.

Brent,
Yes, it seems that I am currently very confused, must be the high temperature.
So we are entering the layer of the HTTP protocol, which is a very different beast.

Sorry I'm late on this.. I just happen to run across it. I have a forum/blog system. Not sure it is what you are after. Been out there for a while and I only used it for internal stuff and hadn't thought about publishing it. But if you are interested, I can document it. There is a demo and download here: www.dkokenge.com/forum/HTH Dan

I'm not clear on exactly what Carl wants. I'm a web designer and work with a handful of different systems (CMS, e-commerce, blogs) and could probably set up what you need if you have a web host and more details on what you'd like.
