@carl: Is there any chance that shoptalk would arrange a somekind of RB hosting server, to support projects that are made with RB? Only to host the projects and demos for the programs?

I would be interested in doing something like that. I'd been meaning to get involved with what Jerry was doing, but honestly I've been swamped. I realize this is a good thing for Run BASIC.
We have a chicken and egg problem here. People are not spreading the word because things have been slow, and things have been slow because people have not been spreading the word. I realize that revving up my end of things certainly does help, and I will definitely put some time and energy into RB pretty soon now.
We do need a new release.

Hi Carl.
Not a business man here, but one major reason why RB is not spreading is that there is no servers where to use it. Most of peoples uses local servers, and they cant handle so much.
So latest RB + server where it is hosted in a x$, sounds good plan. I would need hosting for my project in near future, but setting up a local server for it, does not sound interesting.

@ekvirtanen Guess you've seen already.... David den Haring is planing on opening a new RB hosting service soon..... so this should be solved soon! runbasic.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=runbasicnet&action=display&thread=1311&page=1@carl I I realize that revving up my end of things certainly does help, and I will definitely put some time and energy into RB pretty soon now. We do need a new release. Yes, that seems to be the main issue. The website hasn't been updated for a year or so and makes the RB Project look pretty much abandoned.... besides the look of the site what dos not really reflect the possibilities of RB. It would be more than cool to see a new version coming up sometimes soon! And please take a look at the Tracker runbasic.wikispaces.com/Tracker for user-suggestions. Would be nice to see at least some of the requested features in the next release.
