I was sorry to find out that Jerry shutdown his hosting service. If it were one month later, I may have been his last customer. Since I don't want to deploy from a home server, I obtained a VPS from www.vpsland.com. Thanks for the suggestion, Voton. My question is whether there is really any interest in a new hosting service. Voton posed the question in another forum not long ago and came to the conclusion that there wasn't much demand. It seems that most people are setting up home servers despite the hassle of configuring their routers and dealing with changing IP addresses. Thoughts?

David, I would be interested if the charge was similar to what Jerry was charging and if the ftp set up was as easy as runbasicnet. Janet

Yes, I'm planning to bring a new Run Basic hosting service online early next month. Most of the pieces are already in place. I'm working on some technical issues and doing testing. I'll post details here as things progress. Stay tuned! Is there anything new information about Your plan David (or anyone else perhaps)? Hi David.
Im pleased to read your reply. Do you think that service could support php+mysql also, since for me, they have important role in my websites.

I won't have mySQL or PHP ready for the January roll out, but it is certainly something to consider because Carl is planning to add mySQL support to a future version of Run Basic. Hi David. Hello,
I'd be interested in knowing the exact details of how you will setup the server? Will it be a Windows based cloud server? or will you offer Linux hosting also? What will be your bandwidth going to the server? Will you offer mysite.somesite.com web addresses? Will I have direct access to my RB files on the server? These and other details would be nice to know, then we can offer suggestions.

I was very interested in developing a Run BASIC application recently. Not being knowledgeable about having my own server(s), I was disappointed to find the other service discontinued.
It's good to see you've got something good going on! I hope I may be able to use your upcoming service for a website I might be making sometime in the future. (I hope)

Good idea David. I am interested and left my email to be notified when the site is up and running. I am busy now trying to learn RB with the personal version I download from the site, and waiting for www.runbasichosting.com to start working. Thanks for keeping RB alive. Luis.
