runWikiNG - now with added themes

A new version of runWikiNG is now available at http://www.staddle.net/seaside/go/runbasicpersonal?app=wiki&page=runWikiNG.

The main change is a new theme engine along with 3 themes that I have ported from WordPress (along with the original appearance).

I've also added a few features stolen from Alyce's runWikiAW

- the ability to restore a page to a previous edit and the ability to lock a page to prevent edits by non-administrators.

Due to the extensive changes made and the limited testing it has had, this release should be considered beta quality - but that's always been good enough for Google

Neil,

Wow it looks really sharp. The 'menu effect' on the page gives it a really modern look and feel.
We really need more of this type of programs to draw people in.

Runs really sweetly. Love things like the sidebar off/on. Perhaps time to retire my Wordpress blog??

OMG! I feel honored to know this. My little attempt was inspired by your amazing wiki, but is clearly the Kindergarten version, while yours is the PhD.

I like the fact that I can edit my profile now. Your implementation of my ideas for the editing page is slick and elegant! I love the drop-down list of images. That's a fantastic idea.

Sharing code as good as this? Extremely generous! You've put a lot of work into this, and you have so many excellent idea!

Well, wouldn't you know it - I kicked the power cord out of my server last night and it would seem that the filesystem was corrupted

Anyway, it looks like my Run BASIC site will be down for a little while while I rebuild the machine. Sorry about that.

If anyone has already downloaded RunWikiNG and wants to put the code up on the web somewhere, they are more than welcome to.

I've put, if anyone wants them in a hurry, in a folder called RunWiki-

Installation.txt (how-to use)

to get the others, edit the url for
runWikiNG.txt for pasting in RunBasic
stackObject.txt
userObject.txt

themes.zip

on my site at http://www.diga.me.uk/RunWiki/installation.txt
